We don't play league cricket just playing friendlies every Sunday, usually we play limited over (35 or 40) or sometimes we play "time" games.

The commitment from players to our club is whatever they can put in, if you want to play every week then that's great, but if you can only manage a couple of games a season then that's great too.

We cater for all ages, and everyone is encouraged no matter of age or sex, so if a grandad wants to play alongside his grandson or grandaughter then we might be the club for you.

Skill level is not a requirement to play for Sydenham, just a willingness to play.

We like to win, but that's not all we're about, the point of our club is all about enjoying a game of cricket, we consider oursleves very much a family club.

We are often watched over by Red Kites, who often hover our home ground. Some think this may reflect the age and speed of play of some of our players.

Towersey (where the home ground is situated), is close to the foot of the Chiltern Escarpment, and on a sunny summer day the views are great. Its a nice place to come and sunbathe for those family members who don't play cricket, there is a social club (not linked to the club) which is usually open after the games.

At the end of each season a cricketless tour is arranged, this is a weekend away open to all club members. The tour is organised by Trevor Day.
